Description
WEICON GMK 2510 is a two-component contact adhesive based on polychloroprene, developed for full-surface, permanently elastic and high-strength bonds. It is particularly suitable for bonding rubber, metal, textiles, leather, cellular rubber (neoprene) and CSM (Hypalon) to each other or to materials such as wood and stone. Compared with one-component adhesives, it offers superior adhesion and higher temperature resistance. Once cured, the bonds are resistant to moisture and highly durable, making the adhesive ideal for demanding applications in industry, trade and maintenance. Typical applications • Bonding and repair of conveyor belts in mining and industrial applications • Bonding rubber profiles and seals to metal housings in mechanical engineering • Repairing cracks in rubber boots, tyres or neoprene wetsuits • Full-surface bonding of insulation materials to metal substrates • Bonding rubber buffers and vibration dampers to machinery and equipment • Bonding leather to aluminium or stainless steel components • Repair of inflatable boats made from rubber-coated fabric or CSM (Hypalon) • Installation of textile coverings in vehicles or for exhibition stand fitting WEICON GMK 2510 is not suitable for materials such as polystyrene foam, polyethylene, polypropylene parts, flexible PVC foam or PVC synthetic leather.
